Val di Chiana is the Eastern Tuscany territory which covers the zone between Arezzo and Siena. A deep and beautiful valley, Val di Chiana extends over an area of 1800km².

The Val di Chiana valley includes the entire river basin of the Canale Maestro del Fiume Chiana, the main waterway of the territory. Surrounded to the east by a chain of mountains which stretch across to the west, the landscape is made up of many little plains and hills, as well as Mount Corneta, the High Sant’Egidio and Mount Lignano.

Geographically speaking, the Val di Chiana is divided into two main parts, the Val di Chiana Senese, with the municipalities of Chianciano Terme, Chiusi, Torrita di Siena, Montepulciano and Cetona, and the Val di Chiana Aretina, with the provinces of Monte San Savino , Arezzo, Cortona, Marciano della Chiana, Castiglion Fiorentino, Civitella in Val di Chiana and Foiano della Chiana.
